Our team approaches landscape installations thoughtfully and thoroughly, with a special emphasis on safety and meeting our deadlines. These projects involve careful coordination of crews, materials and schedules and the SolarScapes’ team thrives on this complexity and challenge. Installation of landscaping material can include all or a portion of the following: Sod, trees, plants, shrubs, flower beds, ground cover such as mulch and pine straw and Low-Voltage Landscape Lighting. Should you have a need for any hardscape construction, our team is happy to manage this aspect right along with your landscape installation by coordinating with local partners who offer the services you need.

Routine Lawn Maintenance
Our lawn maintenance service includes policing the yard for trash prior to mowing. The turf will be mowed evenly and completely at a height best suited for the health needs of your grass. Line trimming will be performed in areas we cannot reach with a mower and around all trees, posts, fences, etc. to a height of the adjacent turf. Research shows that using mulching mowers is healthier for the lawn and is a tremendous help to the environment. We edge all walkways, driveways, patios, concrete surfaces and flower beds with a blade edger and blow grass clippings away from these areas for a crisp clean curb appeal. We recommend weekly service in order to keep a lush and well maintained looking lawn, however we do offer a variety of schedules to meet your needs. Additionally, we do not require contracts but can offer payment plans with an Annual Agreement to meet your budget. Shrub Trimming
Trimming shrubs is a process and must be done at certain times of the year and on a continual basis to keep a well maintained appearance. Our staff is trained in how to trim shrubs to achieve healthy growth and a beautiful look. Certain bushes need to be trimmed weekly or monthly otherwise they will not look lush and thick, while others can only be trimmed at the end of the season so their growth is not stunted. Having us care for your shrubs will help to ensure you have a well maintained landscape year round.


Mulch or Pine Straw Installation
Mulch and Pine Straw are both very import aspects of your landscape and is usually one of the first things that is noticed if done correctly. It acts as a natural barrier for preventing weeds, provides nutrients to the plants as it decomposes and most importantly, it keeps the moisture in on hot sunny days. Installing this ground cover in flower beds and around trees reduces the cost of weeding as well as the need to water while helping your plants to prosper and ensuring the future growth of the expensive plants in your flower beds. Seasonal Flower Installation/Bed Maintenance
Seasonal color can have more impact on the landscape than any other design element. However, nothing has a more negative impact than a poorly designed or maintained color area. At SolarScapes, we can help you choose the right seasonal flower varieties and stunning color combinations for your landscape. We know when it is the best time of the year to plant specific flowers and can thus properly prepare the soil with appropriate organic matter and plant the flowers where they will thrive in their new environment. Seasonal Flowers include annual flowers, bulbs, and perennials. Annual flowers provide great color right away and come in many varieties. Perennial flowers will provide seasonal color year after year, but must be managed. Bulbs will provide a great splash of color for a period of 2 to 4 weeks that will enhance every landscape. Leaf Removal
This service can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or on an as needed basis. We recommend it be scheduled on a weekly basis and at the same time the lawn is mowed as this can typically reduce the time and costs compared to scheduling a one-time service. As well, weekly maintenance will keep your turf free of bald spots which can be created from leaves sitting on the turf for extended periods of time.


Spring / Fall / General Landscape Cleanup
We are available year round to provide a cleanup of your lawn and landscape, whether it is in the spring, fall or just a general clean up needed for a new property, a distressed property, or a property that you want to sell or rent.

Spring cleanups consist of a cleanup of fallen branches from over the winter, cleaning the beds for the upcoming growing season, along with core aeration to allow nutrients to penetrate into the ground benefiting the root system and over-seeding for specific types of turf. These services are essential if you want a thick and lush lawn.

SolarScapes offers to rake and blow all the debris to ensure your yard is free of leaves, twigs and branches. As you notice the leaves turning color, it is time to clean out your landscape beds of plants that die off in the winter. Fall cleanups include core aeration and over-seeding for specific types of turf, and moving leaves to the street for city pick up, to your compost pile, as well as hauling them off your property completely. Make sure you keep removing the leaves on a regular basis or your lawn can suffocate in as little as 2 weeks. A thorough cleanup is successful to any landscape.
